Holidays can and should be sustainable too. We care deeply about environmentally friendly practices and the wellbeing of nature - for the world of tomorrow. That is why we strive every day to make our hotel in Kaltenbach even more sustainable and eco-friendly - in keeping with the Austrian Ecolable and our commitment to sustainable holidays in Tyrol.
Our hotel generates electricity with a photovoltaic system and heats water using heat pumps. We also automate lighting with motion sensors and have replaced all light sources with LEDs.
By offering different working-time models (e.g. allowing employees to choose the number of working days or hours per week), we can respond individually to different needs and current circumstances, while supporting our employees with childcare and training commitments.
Our aim is to make our cleaning practices as sustainable as possible and minimise their impact on the environment. We use environmentally friendly cleaning products or, particularly when cleaning windows, do without them altogether. By deliberately choosing environmentally friendly alternatives, we create a hygienic and healthy environment for our guests.
Our guests have the option of making their check-in and check-out completely paperless. This saves around 5,000 sheets of paper as well as toner and printer cartridges every year. Documents relating to employment are also sent to our employees digitally.
Sustainability is an ongoing process for us. We welcome feedback, ideas and suggestions for improvement from our guests. At Kräuterhotel Hochzillertal, we generate energy that creates wellbeing from renewable sources. Our pellet heating system combines efficiency with environmental friendliness. We stand for a heating system that is future-proof and CO2-neutral. We also harness the power of sunlight. Photovoltaic energy flows through our holiday home from home. More than 10% of our energy supply comes from renewable energy sources.
